Festa Italiana!
La Dolce Vita Gelato Caffè
Celebrates Two Years of Success
with Italian Festivities
throughout November
Caffè offers artisan gelato,
Italian coffee, panini, free wireless
Internet, and more
Fort Collins , Colo. –
La Dolce Vita Gelato Caffè,
meaning The Sweet Life in
Italian, celebrates its two-year
anniversary in November with a month
full of festivities. As the first and
only artisan gelato caffè in
Fort Collins ,
La Dolce Vita will hold a grand
Festa Italiana (Italian Party)
at its location at Drake and Shields,
2555
South Shields Street , #B, next
to the Pulse health club.
The first three Sundays of November –
the 4th, 11th and 18th – will feature
“Presentations d’ Italia,” including
talks and presentations on travel to
Italy by Rick Price of
ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours (www.experienceplus.com)
on Nov. 4 at 2:00 p.m.
On Nov. 11 at 2:00 p.m. , Amalia
Davies, a native of
Rome , will talk about leading a
group of local artists on a trip to
Rome this fall. Bon Voyage Travel
will do a presentation
on Nov. 11 on travel to
Italy . There will also be
educational talks on coffee and gelato
and special live music from local
artists. For details, please visit
www.ColoradoGelato.com.
“I can’t believe it has been two years
already! It is very gratifying to see
how many customers my wife Rita and I
and our staff have been able to serve
and please at our caffè. We wish to
thank you all, and we hope to be able to
continue sharing this part of my Italian
culture with the people of
Fort Collins for years to come,”
notes owner Paolo Fontani .
Throughout Sundays in November,
La Dolce Vita will host free
presentations on travel to
Italy , Italian culture, food and
drink, along with live music. An
assortment of Italian appetizers will be
available, as well as European drinking
chocolate!
In recognition and gratitude for all the
support and patronage of our customers,
there will be no charge for the Sunday
events. Donations, instead, will be
accepted for Catholic Charities
Northern, an organization that runs more
than 40 programs to feed the hungry,
shelter the homeless, support youth and
more.
La Dolce Vita Gelato Caffè will
also donate a portion of
each Sunday store sales to
Catholic Charities Northern.
La Dolce Vita will also feature
in-house specials of classic Italian
dishes throughout November. Customers
can enjoy refreshing Caprese salads,
antipasto dishes, delectable canolis, an
expanded gelato selection including new,
seasonal flavors like apple caramel and
pumpkin spice, and sipping chocolate.
As part of the celebration,
La Dolce Vita will introduce some
new products during November. Most
notably, the variety of gelato flavors
available daily will increase from 18 to
30. Lavazza’s Tierra line of coffee (www.tierra.lavazza.com)
will also be available. Going beyond
Fair Trade, this coffee is certified by
the Rainforest Alliance to be 100
percent sustainable. In addition to
paying fair wages to those that produce
it, sustainable production addresses the
overall good of the coffee growers and
their environment.
“La
Dolce Vita is a welcome retreat,
since I work at home – it succeeds in
capturing the ambience of a European
caffè, and I love the beverages, food,
art, live music and conversation. It’s a
great part of
Fort Collins for me,” said Susan
Snyderman, a piano and voice teacher.
“I’ve been coming to
La Dolce Vita since it opened two
years ago as a place to catch up on my
paperwork and access the Internet,” said
Joe Olbrys, a sales representative and
La Dolce Vita regular. “After
trying the gelato, I now buy it by the
quart to treat my customers on my sales
route. Thanks,
La Dolce Vita!”
